Wild Red deer have been seen from the window of the cottage visit in the autumn months to hear them roaring during the rutting season.

Walking
The New Forest covers about 150 square miles of beautiful, unspoilt moorlands and forests for you to explore. When you walk out of our front door you literally walking out onto the open Forest. We can offer guidance on short or long walks.
New Forest Drift
Every summer and autumn, the free-roaming ponies are rounded up as part of the Forest's livestock annual management. The spectacle is unique. This video was filmed in September 2021, outside the front door of our Cottage.
