Wild Red deer have been seen from the window of the cottage visit in the autumn months to hear them roaring during the rutting season.

The New Forest covers about 150 square miles of beautifulunspoilt moorlands and forests for you to explore. When you walk out of our front door you literally walking out onto the open Forest. We can offer guidance on short or long walks.

New Forest Drift

Every summer and autumn, the free-roaming ponies are rounded up as part of the Forest's livestock annual management. The spectacle is unique. This video was filmed a few hundred metres from our Cottage.
